A comparison of the flap and flapless procedures showed that the sulcus depth was significantly deeper in the implants placed using the flapless procedure.

Approximately three months after implant placement, the average pocket probing depths for the flap and flapless procedures were 1.7 mm and 1.0 mm, respectively.
