Flapless implantology Primary treatment plan

the general concepts of diagnoses and treatment plans for flapless implants. Clinical guide-lines are also summarized for both conventional and three dimensional (3D) virtual planning. After the primary planning phase, there are two options for diagnostics; multiparametric conventional and 3D – image-based planning.

Both options may be used successfully for flapless implant placement, but they have different indications.

Primary treatment plan

The primary treatment plan is the result of the patient’s history, the patient’s requests clinical evaluations, and radiographic diagnoses based on panoramic radiographs.

Systematic patient reports include an anamnestic screening, as well as documentation of the patient’s requests and the diagnostic summary. A systematic anamnestic evaluation may be supported using an implant planning program, which provides features specially developed for this purpose.
